Your Talent is Your Wealth

Taken from the story of the Widow's Jar of Oil

by Jacqueline Nwokeji-Ani

Every individual has a talent that has either been discovered or is still waiting to be discovered.

We are living in a climate where working a nine-to-five job can no longer give you everything you need in life. Majority are trapped in a system where working hard to build someone else's vision is necessary to survive. When the renumeration isn't enough, the solution seems to be to borrow extra money on high interest. Without realising it the cycle of work to pay debts becomes a normal lifestyle.

I strongly believe that discovering your natural talent and developing that talent so that it can compete in the marketplace is a strong connector to your wealth. I don't only mean wealth in the monetary terms, but the peace and joy in doing what you do best to acquire the financial renumeration to support greater projects.

We are extremely busy, being busy entangled in a "rat race"; earning wages to pay whoever is waiting for it; it can be difficult finding the time to discover the connector to our wealth. And that means discovering what we have in us and how we can make it work in a competitive society so that we can be successful, whatever you may define that success to be.
